Stone Park’s Annual “National Night Out Party”

150th Street between Nebraska Avenue & Vernon Avenue
Please join us to celebrate National Neighborhood Night Out! You and your
family are welcome to enjoy the festivities. This is the 27th Annual National
Night Out which in an effective, inexpensive, and enjoyable program to promote
neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for a safer
nation.
Planned Events:
• Bennington Fire & Rescue will turn on the fire hydrant
• Douglas County Sherriff’s Office will have a deputy in attendance and will
provide DNA Kits
• The Stone Park Home Owner’s Association will provide an inflatable bouncer
for the kids, bubbles, and a clown who will provide balloon animals
• OPPD will provide coloring books, stickers, and bags highlighting electrical
safety
• Hy-Vee is donating cookies and the Stone Park Home Owner’s Association will
provide lemonade
• The Schwan’s Man will have a truck with samples and product/delivery
information available

OPPD Easements
Due to budget cuts, the city will not be cutting the grass/weeds under the OPPD
power lines or the "park" area along Nebraska Avenue this year. In order to
build the school, the city purchased the land from the SID and is now
responsible for its maintenance (or lack thereof).
